PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
USALP has established a cooperative agreement with the Institute of International Education (IIE) – the largest and most experienced international exchange organization in the United States with an established presence in the Middle East. IIE has organized a broad range of international exchange programs for professionals since 1919 and has 19 offices worldwide.

IIE will coordinate with each participating country’s program office and the national USALP office while acting as the administrative arm
of the program.

IIE will arrange several key elements for each delegation:

  1. Outreach and selection: IIE will coordinate the national delegate outreach process in concert with the designated councils, and develop the final slate of delegate candidates for consideration by the USALP National Office;
  2. In-country program: IIE will coordinate and facilitate logistics with the in-country hosts prior to delegate departure to assure the highest program standards for hosts, delegates, and the USALP;
  3. Post-program assessment: IIE will develop a web-based evaluation tool so delegates can quickly and easily evaluate the events and activities of their program; and
  4. Alumni networking: IIE will coordinate the alumni outreach and contact with USALP and the designated organizations throughout the United States to monitor the multiplier effect of the program

IIE will select high caliber staff members to oversee the program, monitor the quality of the program, liaise with the multiple organizations involved in the program, and follow-up for each delegation. Careful attention to detail will be the key to creating a positive experience for each delegation and IIE will put into place the systems and processes to guarantee this desired outcome.
